Conan, Ran, and Kogoro come across the police investigating a crime scene. The body of a woman who was bludgeoned to death in the street the previous night was discovered. Two similar incidents occured the previous week, and the police believe all three crimes were committed by the same culprit. Because they were drunk, the victims could not recall anything about the attacks, and there are no security cameras in the area. While wandering around the crime scene, Conan spots a house.
