Selma manages to disarm Beto and approaches him provocatively. Selma tells Bruno that their marriage is over. She sleeps with Beto and pays him to teach Bruno a lesson. Selma tells Antônia that she has resigned. Beto, hooded, invades the house, points the gun at Bruno and orders Selma to tie her husband's and the butler's hands. Then, he takes the jewels and kisses Selma. Beto threatens to shoot Bruno.
