The lawyer Nelson thinks there's a chance to reverse the deal made with Afrânio, which cheers Diogo up. Beto robs an old woman, who reacts by shooting, as she is a retired major. He is shot. In the middle of the forest, Selma eats roots. She notices the presence of two men.
