Overview
Deadtectives is a 2018 comedy horror film directed by Tony West, who co-wrote the script with David Clayton Rogers. The film stars Chris Geere, Tina Ivlev, David Newman, and Jose Maria de Tavira. The story follows a team of reality television paranormal investigators who travel to Mexico's most haunted house in pursuit of better ratings. As the true dark secrets of the mansion begin to reveal themselves, the hapless team quickly discovers that the location is no hoax. Lacking any genuine ghost-hunting experience, the investigators must figure out how to stop the ghosts and escape the house with their lives intact. The film had its world premiere on October 5, 2018, at the Sitges Film Festival. It was subsequently released in the United States in 2019 on Shudder, as well as in Russia through Planeta Inform.
