De-Lovely is a 2004 American musical biopic directed by Irwin Winkler and released by Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer. The screenplay was written by Jay Cocks. The film follows the life and career of composer Cole Porter, exploring his journey from his first meeting with his wife, Linda Lee Thomas, until his death. The narrative features composer Cole Porter reviewing his life and career with his wife while inspecting a magical biographical stage musical. The lives of Cole Porter and his wife, Linda Lee Thomas, took them from Paris to Venice to Broadway to Hollywood, and were never less than glamorous and wildly unconventional. Although Cole's thirst for life strained their marriage, Linda never stopped being his muse, inspiring some of the greatest songs of the twentieth century. The cast includes Kevin Kline, Ashley Judd, Jonathan Pryce, and Kevin McNally. The film has a runtime of two hours and five minutes and carries a PG-13 rating.
