Danger Man is a British television series that was broadcast between 1960 and 1962, and again between 1964 and 1968. The series features Patrick McGoohan as secret agent John Drake. Ralph Smart created the programme and wrote many of the scripts. Danger Man was financed by Lew Grade's ITC Entertainment. The series follows the adventures of John Drake, a special operative for NATO, who specializes in security assignments against subversive elements that threaten world peace. Patrick McGoohan stars as John Drake, with other cast members including Richard Wattis, Lionel Murton, and Michael Ripper. The series was also known by other titles in overseas markets, including Secret Agent in the United States. The programme was directed by various individuals, including Michael Truman. Danger Man is a notable example of a British espionage television series from the 1960s.
