Overview

Cyber City Oedo 808 is a 1990 television series set in the city of Oedo in the year 2808 A.D. The narrative follows three cyber criminals who are presented with a strict ultimatum by the authorities. They must choose between serving time in prison or joining a specialized unit of the Cyber Police. By enlisting in this force, the criminals are offered the possibility of earning their freedom. The state agrees to reduce their respective prison sentences for every mission successfully completed and every criminal apprehended. Led by Hasegawa, the new recruits consist of three individuals named Sengoku, Gogul, and Benton. As they operate under the direction of the Cyber Police, the trio is tasked with delivering hard justice throughout the city. Their primary motivation remains the potential to eventually secure their release and taste freedom once again.
