In this episode of Coronation Street, broadcast on Monday, May 7, 1962, Florrie has another date with Representative Lawrence at the theatre. At the same time, Frank goes to the theatre with friends from work. Ultimately, both Florrie and Frank are stood up for their respective outings. Following this, they go to a cafe together and enjoy each other's company.

Elsewhere in the episode, Ken gives thought to the idea of buying a scooter. Meanwhile, the Walkers receive a telephone call from a reporter. In addition to the reporter's call, the Walkers also receive a telegram from Billy telling them not to believe all they read.
