Overview
Coraline is a 2009 American stop-motion animated gothic dark fantasy horror film written, co-produced, and directed by Henry Selick. The story follows an eleven-year-old girl named Coraline who, while wandering her rambling old house in a boring new town, discovers a hidden door. Behind this door lies an alternate universe that resembles her own life but appears strangely idealized and better. To remain in this fantasy world, Coraline must make a frighteningly real sacrifice. As she explores this parallel reality, she encounters neighbors such as the Amazing Bobinsky at the Pink Palace. However, the girl soon discovers that the world holds sinister secrets that threaten to trap her there forever.
