Overview

Con Air is a 1997 American action film directed by Simon West in his feature directorial debut. The film stars Nicolas Cage, John Cusack, and John Malkovich in lead roles. It is produced by Jerry Bruckheimer. The movie follows a newly-paroled former US Army ranger, Cameron Poe, who is headed back to his wife. However, he must fly home aboard a prison transport flight dubbed "Jailbird" that takes the "worst of the worst" prisoners, a group described as "pure predators", to a new super-prison. The transport plane is then skyjacked mid-flight by the most vicious criminals in the country, led by a mastermind serial killer.
