Chuck is an American action comedy spy drama television series created by Josh Schwartz and Chris Fedak. The series follows Chuck Bartowski, an average computer whiz who works at the Buy More. His life changes when he inadvertently downloads a database of critical government secrets and deadly fighting skills into his brain after receiving an encoded email from an old college friend working for the CIA. As a result, Chuck becomes the most vital intelligence asset for the United States government.

To manage this new reality, the CIA and the NSA assign two elite handlers, Sarah Walker and John Casey, to protect him and exploit his skills. Chuck is forced into a dangerous double life, balancing high-stakes spy operations with his mundane civilian job. He must keep his new identity a secret from his sister, Ellie, and his best friend, Morgan. Throughout the series, Chuck navigates a complicated cover romance with Sarah while attempting to protect his unsuspecting family and civilian relationships. The show, which premiered in 2007, blends elements of action, adventure, comedy, and drama as Chuck begins his path toward becoming a full-fledged spy while attempting to save the world.
