The Chouseishin Series season 1 is set approximately 400,000,000 years after an advanced human civilization was destroyed by the Warp Monarch, an alliance of planetary conquerors. The story follows 12 direct descendants of the civilization's warriors, known as Sazers, who awaken their powers. These Sazers are each based on a Zodiac sign represented in an animal totem or spirit representation and initially belong to one of four tribes: Flame, Wind, Earth, and Water. The Sazers initially wage war on each other but eventually unite after learning the truth about their ancestry and the reason for their awakening. Their unified goal is to protect Earth from the Warp Monarch, which seeks to extinguish all life on the planet. The Chouseishin Series is a trilogy of tokusatsu shows created by Toho, with the first series airing in 2003 and classified as Sci-Fi & Fantasy and Drama with a TV-Y7 rating.
