The season aired on ABC from 22 September 1976 to 4 May 1977 and consists of twenty‑three episodes. A two‑hour pilot episode premiered on 21 March 1976; it originally featured an additional male liaison, Scott Woodville, who was omitted from the series because producers preferred a single, more humorous Bosley.
