In season one, episode eight hundred seventy-nine of C.I.D., titled Abhijeet Ka Inteqaam Part 1, a critical witness is scheduled to be brought to court to provide testimony against a terrorist. To ensure the safety of the proceedings, the authorities also focus on keeping the witness's family safe. An elaborate plan is devised to manage the high-security situation and transport the witness securely. Despite these precautions, the operation is ambushed and they are attacked. During the assault, the witness's daughter is taken by the attackers, and Abhijeet is left injured in the aftermath. The narrative centers on this security failure, the abduction of the child, and the injury sustained by Abhijeet as they attempt to protect the witness and his family before the scheduled court testimony can take place.
