In the episode titled Khooni Gulaal of the television series C.I.D., guests attending a Holi party experience a severe shock when they discover a dead body located next to a tree. Following the grim discovery, the C.I.D. team is called in to investigate the circumstances surrounding the death. Upon examining the victim, the investigators find that only the face of the deceased individual was terribly burnt. Further inquiry into the incident leads the team to uncover that a dangerous chemical had been laced with the color used during the festivities. The investigation continues as the officers work to piece together how the hazardous substance came to be mixed into the festival powders and who might be responsible for the tragic outcome at the gathering.
