In season one, episode five hundred seventy-eight of C.I.D., titled Adrushya Goli, a man is killed inside a movie theatre in front of forty witnesses. The crime scene investigation reveals that the man has been shot, yet neither a gun nor any trace of gunpowder can be found anywhere in the theatre.

When the case is handed over to Dr. Salunkhe for examination, further anomalies emerge. Although there is a clear bullet wound on the victim's body, Dr. Salunkhe discovers that there is no bullet inside the man's chest.

During the investigation, the team learns that a famous actress named Rakhi was present at the theatre during the incident. Rakhi becomes a person of interest as she suspects that the lethal projectile may have actually been intended for her. She reveals to the authorities that she has been receiving threatening phone calls prior to the incident.

The investigation centers on solving two major mysteries: how the man actually died given the missing weapon, missing gunpowder, and missing bullet, and whether the victim was the true intended target of the attack.
