In season one, episode four hundred and forty-four of C.I.D., titled Masks, a group of friends makes a grim discovery when they spot an abandoned car containing a dead body. Prompted by this finding, the friends inform C.I.D. about the situation, initiating an official investigation into the mysterious death.

Taking charge of the case, the C.I.D. team begins following specific clues discovered on the deceased victim's phone. These digital leads and investigative steps eventually guide the officers to a residential house. Upon investigating the location, the team uncovers a second major crisis: the young son of the couple living at the house has been kidnapped.

With both a dead body found in an abandoned car and a child abduction tied to the same address, the investigation centers on determining how these two seemingly disparate incidents are linked together. The remainder of the episode follows the team as they work to uncover the connection between the crime scene and the missing boy.
