In episode four hundred thirty two of C.I.D., titled The Secret of Table No. 6, a sequence of mysterious events unfolds involving a ransom payment and an anonymous warning. A couple hands over a huge ransom to a lady in exchange for a baby. This illegal or secretive exchange is witnessed and captured on film or by other means by an unknown man. Meanwhile, the C.I.D. team receives a phone call while sitting at a restaurant. The mysterious caller reveals to them that a murder is going to take place on the exact same table where the C.I.D. team is currently sitting. This sets off an investigation into the identity of the caller, the intended victim of the impending murder, and the underlying motive behind the planned crime. The episode challenges the team to uncover who is going to get killed and why before the threat at table number six becomes a reality.
