Overview
Buffy the Vampire Slayer is an American supernatural horror drama television series created by writer and director Joss Whedon. The show aired from March 10, 1997, until May 20, 2003. Its concept is based on a 1992 film written by Whedon, though the two productions remain separate and distinct. The series follows a young woman named Buffy Summers who is the chosen Slayer, destined to wield the strength and skill required to fight vampires, demons, and the forces of darkness.
