Throughout the series, Buffy is supported by her group of friends, known as the Scooby Gang, as they work to protect the town of Sunnydale. The show stars Sarah Michelle Gellar, Nicholas Brendon, Alyson Hannigan, and Anthony Head. Whedon served as the executive producer and showrunner for the series.
