Tess is working hard at managing the workload in Mt Thomas but it isn't easy when the station is under staffed and under equipped. Tess doesn't take kindly to PJ being critical of her when she uses his car in an emergency. The situation doesn't improve when PJ and Tess are forced to work together investigating a mysterious bank robbery. As PJ and Tess uncover the details of the robbery, the two bank employees give them different stories. Tess thinks one of the employees is behind the hold-up, but PJ is convinced it's the other. The confusion adds to the tension between them. PJ even attempts to cut Tess out of the investigation.
