With Tess' husband now working at a Melbourne hospital, Jonesy deides it's his job to keep her, and her puppy (Puddles), company at night and turns up on her doorstep with a freshly caught fish dinner. All seems to be going well until he starts quizzing her about her ten-week marriage to Dr. Josh Carmichael. Tess' breathing gets more and more difficult and she collapses in his arms.
