Overview

Bloodhounds is a South Korean action crime thriller television series that premiered in 2023. The show was created by Jeong Chan and is based on the Naver Webtoon of the same name. It follows two young boxers who team up with a benevolent moneylender to confront violent adversaries while protecting those they care about. The series explores themes of justice and survival as the protagonists face ruthless foes who prey on the financially desperate. Jason Kim serves as writer and director of the series. The main cast includes Woo Do-hwan, Lee Sang-yi, Park Sung-woong and Huh Joon-ho. The story begins when a young woman takes out a loan to save her café, only to become targeted by a predatory lending company. Her plight draws in the two boxers and their ally, who decide to fight back against the powerful forces exploiting the vulnerable. The first season became available for streaming on Netflix, with its initial episode released on June 9, 2023. The series is produced for Netflix and spans multiple seasons.
