Overview
Blood River is a 2025 Chinese television series centered on a powerful assassin guild composed of the Su, Mu, and Xie clans. The guild operates with lethal efficiency across both court and wilderness. When the patriarch is poisoned during a mission, internal conflict erupts as each clan seeks control. Su Muyu, who leads the Spider-Shadow unit, protects the dying leader while navigating deadly power struggles. He encounters healer Bai Hehuai and clashes with elder Su Zhe and his old friend Su Changhe. Eventually, Su Changhe becomes the new patriarch, and Su Muyu assumes leadership of the Su clan. The series concludes with the initiation of the "Other Shore Plan," intended to bring Blood River out of secrecy. The show stars Gong Jun and was directed by Yin Tao. It aired from October to November 2025, consisting of 38 episodes broadcast Monday through Thursday.
