Block 10 2026

Overview

Block 10 is a German historical drama film scheduled for release in 2026. The film explores the sterilization experiments conducted by SS doctors Carl Clauberg and Horst Schumann on women at the Auschwitz concentration camp, featuring Christian Berkel as Maximilian Samuel. Set in early 1943 at the Auschwitz main camp, the story centers on hundreds of Jewish women confined in cramped quarters in Block 10, an area separated from the rest of the camp grounds. Within this block, Nazi doctors subject the imprisoned women to painful methods of forced sterilization, and prisoner doctors are compelled to collaborate. The narrative focuses on the Jewish gynecologist Dr. Maximilian Samuel, who faces a severe moral dilemma when he is blackmailed with the gassing of his twenty-year-old daughter if he refuses to participate in the brutal experiments. Caught in these harrowing circumstances, he seeks his own path.
