Overview

Blackadder is a series of four period British sitcoms that originally aired on BBC1 between 1983 and 1989. Created by Richard Curtis, the program follows the deeply cynical and self-serving lineage of various Edmund Blackadders throughout British history. The narrative spans from the muck of the Middle Ages to the frontline of the Great War. Rowan Atkinson stars as the titular antihero, supported by a cast that includes Tony Robinson, Tim McInnerny, Hugh Laurie, Stephen Fry, Brian Blessed, and Elspet Gray.
