Black Spot is a French-Belgian television supernatural thriller series that premiered on France 2. The series is also known as Zone Blanche, which translates to White Zone. It premiered on 10 April 2017, following its debut in February at the 2017 Festival des créations télévisuelles de Luchon. The series was created by Mathieu Missoffe via co-production of Ego Productions, Be-Films, and RTBF. The show stars Suliane Brahim and is set in the small bordertown of Villefranche, which is located in the heart of a large forest. In this area, the crime rate is six times higher than elsewhere. Major Laurène Weiss, with the help of her unusual team, solves crimes that lead her deeper into the secrets of the area. The series ran from 2017 to 2019.
