Overview
Black Dragons is a thriller, mystery, and horror film released in the United States on March 6, 1942. The film was directed by William Nigh and features a cast that includes Bela Lugosi, Joan Barclay, George Pembroke, and Clayton Moore. Prior to the commencement of World War II, Japan's Black Dragon Society hatches a plot with the Nazis. They instruct a brilliant scientist named Dr. Melcher to travel to Japan on a secret mission. While there, Dr. Melcher operates on six Japanese conspirators, transforming them to resemble six American leaders. The actual leaders are then murdered and replaced with their likeness. Additionally, a cabal of American industrialists, who are fifth-columnists intent on sabotaging the war effort, are methodically murdered by the malevolent Monsieur Colomb, prompting detective Dick Martin to be assigned to the case.
