Beast King GoLion is a science fiction television series that takes place in a distant future. The story begins with a powerful sentient robot, known as GoLion, who was once a single entity but was later separated into five distinct lion robots. This event is a result of GoLion's abuse of his powers and his boastful claims that no one could defeat him. The Goddess of the Universe punished GoLion by splitting him into the five separate robots. The series follows a group of five young men who return to Earth after a space voyage, only to find their planet ravaged by a devastating event. The group encounters an alien species known as the Galra and finds themselves on the planet Altea, where they learn about the existence of the five lion robots that were once GoLion.
