Overview

Baki Hanma is a 2021 original net animation series based on the manga written and illustrated by Keisuke Itagaki. The show centers on the titular protagonist, a young martial arts champion who trains extensively within the world of underground fighting. As part of his journey, Baki Hanma seeks to develop the necessary skills to surpass his powerful and legendary father. The narrative follows Baki as he enters the Arizona State Prison to challenge a notorious inmate referred to as Mr. Unchained. This series is part of the long-running Baki the Grappler franchise, which focuses on the intense combat training of its main character. In addition to the events at the prison, the broader franchise depicts a scenario where five violent death row inmates arrive in Tokyo to confront Baki.
