Overview

Baabel is a television series that premiered in 2023, created by Afidou Anne. The series falls into the family and drama genres. The story is set in a working-class neighborhood on the outskirts of Dakar, where the proud house of Ndiouga Thiam stands. Ndiouga is a renowned jeweler and family patriarch who has realized his dream of bringing almost all his descendants together under one roof. Baabel unites four generations living in a single house. The challenges of coexistence do not prevent the residents from maintaining a certain equilibrium under the rule of the authoritarian Ndiouga. This equilibrium is disrupted when Khalil, Ndiouga's youngest son, returns from France with his brand-new wife, Fa Bintou. The cast of the series includes Serigne Matar Gueye, Mariétou Diop, Khady Gueye, and Ousmane Fall.
