Aidez l'Espagne is a short documentary film released in 1969. The Colegio de Arquitectos de Catalunya commissioned Pere Portabella to make the film for a Joan Miró retrospective exhibit held in 1969. During the planning phase, heated discussions took place regarding whether it would be prudent to screen the film during the exhibition. Director Portabella took the firm stance that either both films are screened or they do not screen any. Ultimately, both Miro l'Altre and Aidez l'Espagne were shown to the public. The visual content of the film was constructed by combining newsreels and film material originating from the Spanish Civil War with prints by Miró from his series titled Barcelona, which spanned from 1939 to 1944. The documentary concludes with the painter's pochoir known as Aidez l'Espagne.
