Aatish is a 1979 Hindi-language action film directed by Ambrish Sangal and produced by Mohan Kumar under the EMKAY Enterprises banner. The film features Jeetendra and Neetu Singh in pivotal roles, with music composed by Ravindra Jain. The story centers on Mr. Rai, a wealthy businessman residing in a palatial house in Jammu, India. He lives with his wife, Shobha, a wheelchair-bound daughter named Ashu, a grown son named Rakesh, and a younger school-going son named Raju. Tensions exist within the family as Rakesh despises his father and eagerly awaits his death to inherit the family wealth, which he intends to spend on alcohol, gambling, and dancing girls. The plot shifts when Mr. Rai is attacked by bandits while returning from the Jammu and Kashmir Bank with a suitcase of cash. He is rescued by a young man named Anand, who sustains injuries during the encounter. Subsequently, Anand is nursed back to health by Shobha and the rest of the Rai family, earning the trust of Mr. Rai.
