A Blade in the Dark is a 1983 horror, mystery, and thriller film directed by Lamberto Bava. The story centers on Bruno, an up and coming film composer who has been hired to write the score for a new horror movie. In order to help him concentrate and get some extra creative inspiration for the project, Bruno moves into a secluded, rented villa for a few weeks. As he works, life begins to imitate art as a vicious killer starts bumping off anyone and everyone who happens to pay him a visit. Several of the tenants and neighbors are murdered by a razor-wielding slasher, and there is a weird next door neighbor who serves as a key suspect during the course of events.
