Synopsis
Kate helps Jack to locate and identify Syed Ali. Palmer places Stanton under arrest, but he won't break. Palmer realizes he must go to extremes to make Stanton talk. Kim hits her low point of the day when she encounters a cougar in the woods.

This episode of 24 takes place from 6:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M. during Day 2. Jack Bauer receives assistance from Kate Warner in locating and identifying Syed Ali.
Palmer takes action against Stanton, placing him under arrest. However, Stanton refuses to cooperate. Palmer comes to the realization that he must take more drastic measures to obtain information from Stanton.
