Yash established himself as a leading actor in Kannada cinema through films such as the college romance Googly in 2013, the comedy-drama Raja Huli in 2013, and the fantasy action film Gajakesari in 2014. In 2007, he made his on-screen debut with Jambada Hudugi. He achieved pan-India recognition following the massive success of KGF Chapter 1, which was released in 2018 in five languages.
