Xu Qing is a Chinese actress born on January 22, 1969, in Beijing, China. She was accepted into the acting class of Beijing Film Academy in 1988 and graduated in 1992. Xu Qing made her film debut in the 1990 film Life on a String, directed by Chen Kaige. She was nominated for the Hundred Flowers Award for Best Actress in 1992. Xu Qing is also known for her roles in the 2009 film The Founding of a Republic and the 2012 film Looper. She has been a contracted artiste under the talent agency Huayi Brothers since November 30, 2009. Xu Qing has a known stage name of Xu Qing, and also known as Xu Wen-Qing, Summer Xu Qing, and Su.
