Xu Jinglei is an actress, director, and editor. She was born on April 16, 1974. Xu graduated from the Beijing Film Academy in 1997. She is considered one of the Four Young Dan actresses, a group that includes Zhao Wei, Zhou Xun, and Zhang Ziyi. Xu has also directed films since 2003. Her Chinese language blog was the most popular on the Internet in mid-2006, according to Technorati. Xu is also the editor of the monthly Chinese e-zine Kaila at Kaila.com.cn, which was started on April 16, 2007.
