Wu Nien-jen is a Taiwanese screenwriter, director, and writer. Born on August 5, 1952, in Juifang, Taipei, Taiwan, he is one of the most prolific and highly regarded scriptwriters in Taiwan. Wu Nien-jen is a leading member of the New Taiwanese Cinema. He has also acted in a number of films. Wu Nien-jen has written for at least 100 films. His known works include Lubinghua, Raz dva, and Wu yan de shan qiu.
