Waldo Urrego was a Colombian film, stage, and television actor born in Bogotá on July 22, 1945. He began his professional career in 1962 at the age of 17, appearing in the second soap opera produced in Colombia. Throughout his career, he became known for his diverse roles, including various antagonistic characters. He gained recognition for his performances in productions such as Amar y Vivir and La mujer del presidente. For his work in the latter, he received a TvyNovela Award for Best Antagonistic Actor. Urrego died on June 27, 2026, at the age of 80. His extensive professional trajectory spanned several decades, leaving a significant mark on the Colombian television industry.
