Biography
George Vincent Gilligan Jr., born February 10, 1967, is an American screenwriter, filmmaker, producer, and director. He is widely recognized for his work on the AMC crime drama series Breaking Bad, which aired from 2008 to 2013, and its prequel spin-off Better Call Saul, which ran from 2015 to 2022. In these productions, he served as creator, executive producer, head writer, and director. His career also includes writing, directing, and producing episodes for the Fox science fiction series The X-Files. Additionally, he co-created the spin-off series The Lone Gunmen, co-wrote the screenplay for the film Hancock, and wrote, directed, and produced the Breaking Bad sequel film El Camino.
