Biography

Valentina Lodovini is an Italian film and television actress. Born in Umbertide, she grew up in Sansepolcro and attended the School of Dramatic Arts in Perugia, then continued her studies at the Centro Sperimentale di Cinematografia in Rome. Lodovini emerged in her career with Carlo Mazzacurati's drama film La giusta distanza in 2007, for which she was nominated for a David di Donatello award. She won the David di Donatello for Best Supporting Actress for the role of Maria in Benvenuti al Sud in 2011, and reprised the role in the film sequel Benvenuti al Nord.
