Vaani Kapoor is an Indian actress and model born in Delhi, India on August 22, 1988. She obtained a bachelor degree in tourism studies from the Indira Gandhi National Open University and completed an internship with the Oberoi Hotels and Resorts. Following her internship, she worked as a model under Elite Model Management. During her modeling career, she auditioned for the 2009 Sony TV television series Specials @ 10, playing the protagonist in the series segment Rajuben. She subsequently signed a three film deal with Yash Raj Films. Kapoor made her feature film debut in a supporting role in the 2013 romantic comedy Shuddh Desi Romance, which achieved both critical and commercial success.
