Ulrich Thomsen is a Danish actor and filmmaker born on December 6, 1963, in Odense, Denmark. He graduated from the Danish National School of Theatre and Contemporary Dance in 1993, subsequently performing in several Copenhagen theatres including Dr Dantes Aveny, Mungo Park, and Østre Gasværks Teater. His film debut occurred in 1994 in Nightwatch, directed by Ole Bornedal. He is known for his role as Christian in the 1998 film The Celebration and for his role as Kai Proctor in the Cinemax original series Banshee from 2013 to 2016. His other film credits include Thomas Vinterberg's The Biggest Heroes in 1996 and Susanne Bier's Sekten in 1997.
