Tony Gilroy is an American screenwriter, director, and producer. Born on September 11, 1956, in Manhattan, New York City, he is known for writing the screenplays of The Bourne Identity, The Bourne Supremacy, and The Bourne Ultimatum. He also wrote and directed The Bourne Legacy and created the screenplay for Rogue One. Additionally, he wrote and directed Michael Clayton and Duplicity. Gilroy received Academy Award nominations for Best Director and Best Original Screenplay for Michael Clayton. He has a background in writing and has worked on numerous projects, with 27 known credits.
