Tim Miller is an American film director, producer, screenwriter, animator, and visual effects artist. Born on October 10, 1964, in Fort Washington, Maryland, United States, he is best known for directing the films Deadpool, released in 2016, and Terminator: Dark Fate, released in 2019. He is also the creator of the animated anthology series Love, Death & Robots, which has been running from 2019 to the present. Miller is a co-founder of the visual effects company Blur Studio. Additionally, he was nominated for an Academy Award for Best Animated Short Film for his work as co-story writer and executive producer on the short animated film Gopher Broke in 2004, and he designed the title sequences for The Girl with the Dragon T.
