Biography

Talmadge Layne "Tab" Thacker was an American wrestler and actor. He was the NCAA Division I Wrestling heavyweight national champion in 1984. Thacker's film career began after Clint Eastwood noticed him in Time magazine, utilizing his size. Thacker appeared in several films, including City Heat, Wildcats, and two of the Police Academy films, as well as Identity Crisis. After leaving Hollywood, he returned to Raleigh, North Carolina, where he operated a remodeling business, nightclubs, and worked as a bail bondsman.
