Biography
Suzu Hirose is a Japanese actress and model born on June 19, 1998, in Shizuoka. She began her career as a model for Seventeen magazine in 2012 and made her acting debut in 2013. Hirose gained recognition for her performance as Suzu Asano in the 2015 film Our Little Sister, a live-action adaptation of the manga by Akimi Yoshida directed by Hirokazu Kore-eda. In the film, she portrays a football-playing teenager who is adopted by her elder half-sisters following their father's death. The film competed for the Palme d'Or at the Cannes Film Festival. Additionally, Hirose appeared in the 2016 film Your Lie in April. She received the Newcomer of the Year award at the Japan Academy Awards.
