Supriya Pathak, also credited as Supriya Pathak Kapur, is an Indian actress born on 7 January 1961 in Mumbai, Maharashtra. She is the daughter of veteran Gujarati theatre artist and actor Dina Pathak and Baldev Pathak, a Punjabi dressmaker who worked for stars such as Rajesh Khanna and Dilip Kumar. Her elder sister is actress Ratna Pathak. Pathak was raised in the Parsi Colony of Dadar, Mumbai, and attended J. B. Vachha High School. She earned a bachelor’s degree in Fine Arts with a specialization in Bharatanatyam from the Nalanda Dance Research Centre at the University of Mumbai. Her professional career includes 68 credited film and television roles, and she is known primarily for acting.
