Knight has written screenplays for various films, including Closed Circuit, Dirty Pretty Things, and Eastern Promises. He also wrote and directed Locke and Hummingbird, also known as Redemption. In addition to his film work, Knight has created several television shows, including Who Wants to Be a Millionaire?, Peaky Blinders, and SAS: Rogue Heroes. He has written for other television shows, such as Commercial Breakdown, The Detectives, See, and Ta.
