He grew up in Dubbo and worked as a jackaroo on a large-scale sheep and cattle station west of Bourke. He graduated from the University of Newcastle with a degree in communications. Before acting, his passion was rugby union, and he played at first-grade and representative levels throughout his schooling and university years. He is best known for his role as Brax in the long-running Australian serial drama Home & Away. He has appeared in various Australian film, television, and theatre productions, and he worked on Brett Ratner's film Hercules alongside Dwayne Johnson, John Hurt, and Ian McShane.
